I don't do aesthetic landscaping, but if you are local to Vashon Island and would like to contribute to the health of island forests, please reach out. My rates are a sliding scale, starting at $75/hr plus expenses given herbicide licensing and insurance are expensive. Minimum 4 hours per trip. To fill the minimum, partner with a neighbor who also needs work done. Low-carbon transport is part of my service, so time on the road is billed at $35/hr. My rates finance recovery time from hard work necessary at my experienced age, and it pays for my public outreach efforts (seedrain.org). However, my mission is to control invasive seed sources as widely as possible on Vashon, so I'll conduct lance-injection 8-hour days on a sliding scale, $65/hr or $55/hr in my slow times, always plus expenses and sales tax. If you can afford it, I encourage you to donate to Vashon Land Trust and earmark your donation for a cost-share program for severe infestation on land whose owners may not be able to afford rates that keep an independent small business healthy.
